We have a few recommendations and eating out can be very reasonable. The more expensive places tend to be in Girne (Kyrenia) -
the restaurants which have tables overlooking the sea.
Jashan
Turn left out of PBV and is about 2 minutes drive away. It is an orange building on the left on the Glass View Bay complex.
Excellent, reasonably priced Indian cuisine. Highly recommended.

Joya
Upmarket menu and has rave reviews. Seafood is their speciality but they also serve amazing steaks. Turn left from PBV and is on the right hand side. Booking recommended.
The Antique
If you turn right out of PBV then The Antique is on the right hand side (about 4 minutes drive from Palm Bay View) and offers great local dishes.
Bar B
Perfect for drinks, and a sit-down meal. Garlic prawns are their speciality. Here you will enjoy a very homely atmosphere and a varied menu. It’s advisable to book. Closed Mondays. Just past Joya on main road.
Sea Breeze
A small family run place 15 minute walk down the steps to the coast turn right or a 5 minute drive (left turn from PBV and situated on left). Traditional Turkish dishes and locally caught fish that turned up by scooter as we waited. The mezze of many cold dishes and a few hot served with fresh hot bread are served before the main course. The butter and yoghurt in the mezze is home made as they have their own cow!
Ezic Peanuts
Turn right out of PBV and head towards Girne (Kyrenia). Approximate 30 minute drive (go over the main Girne roundabout with the statues on it and you will see a turning on the right with a red sign saying Ezic Peanuts). The tables have bowls of monkey nuts on them for you to nibble on while perusing the menu. Fantastic views over the Med, without the premium harbour prices. Plenty of locals eat here.
Hak’s Diner - Kyrenia
British - Cypriot cuisine. They served great home-from-home food and really good value. Kids loved it and wanted to go back every night! (Think it was the ice cream).
The Abbey Bell Tower Restaurant - Bellapias (near the Abbey)
We had an evening meal here and had been advised we could have taken advantage of their free pick up and drop off service - perfect if you want to let your hair down
and avoiding the "am I driving or you?" question. The views from the restaurant look over the Abbey and surrounding countryside. Breathtaking. The 3-course
meal cost around £18 per head (and of course saves a cab fare and petrol!). The mezze was lovely. We would have been happy just eating the mezze.
Benoz Restaurant - Alagadi
A lovely little restaurant and right near the Alagadi beach (where you can see the turtle excavations). Do wonderful mezzes, fresh fish and the children loved the meatballs.
Cheap and cheerful. Complete mezze with 12 dishes, chips and salad was around £10.
Manipeni
Turn right out of PBV and head towards Girne. Take a right turn at the Girne roundabout with the statues on it, Manipeni is on your right hand side. Fantastic pizzas with a
huge family sized pizza (would feed 4 easily) for around 30YTL - approx £13!!!
The Old Mill - Ozankoy (on the way to Kyrenia)
Premiership on the TV, Wednesday Fish’n’chip special, Friday BBQ and Sunday roasts. Happy hour 6-8pm every day. Bookings advisable. Closed Mondays. Tel - +90 (0) 533 8446647
Emily’s
Turn right out of PBV and is about 2 minutes drive away. Take the right hand turning and is on the Crystal Bay complex. Mainly Turkish cuisine. Pool table and Sky Sports.
Gorgeous
If you turn left out of PBV then go past the sign Kucuk Erenkoy, take a left hand turn onto the Sweet Homes complex. Varied menu.
Tuncays Inn
Turn right out of PBV and is about 5 minutes drive away. Located opposite the chemist and Sencag supermarket a short distance past the petrol station. Very good messe and friendly with kids play area.
